Current contract negotiations between the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager John Curran have been voided and new negotiations will begin.
The board voted Monday night to suspend talks due to an Open Meeting Law complaint filed with the attorney general’s office by resident Virginia Christine Musker against the Board of Selectmen, more specifically Selectmen Chairman David Gagliardi and Andrew Deslaurier.
With the holiday season fast approaching, many people may wonder how they can do something to help others. One way would be to make a donation to the Billerica Food Pantry, a non-profit organization in town that helps feed as many as 150 Billerica families in need each month.
Whatever you do, don’t you dare utter the name of the play.
Not in front of the actors, anyway.
According to theater legend, just saying the name of (shh, "Macbeth") brings the worst kind of luck. So if you must tell people you are going to see the Billerica Memorial High School production of William Shakespeare’s "Macbeth," call it "The Scottish Play."
