Paul Overy - Nominee
For those who do not know me, my name is Paul Overy. I settled in Billerica in 1980 after retiring from the US Navy. I joined BATV in mid 1994 and became a board member in 1996. It was during this time that BATV moved out of town hall and into our current location of business. At the end of my three-year term I chose not to re-run because work time constraints did not allow me the time and commitment to BATV that is deserved. Retired life has changed that.
My involvement with BATV has been in a wide range of activates, from cameraman to producer and much of what is involved in-between. I've worked on shows like “Cosmo's Journal”, “You and your Health”, “Country Corner”, “Baking with Norma and Dianne”, “World of Wheels”, and sports programs (Hockey and Baseball). I’m also deeply involved in the taping and editing of “Police Beat”. I've co-produced the walk through of the “Water Treatment Plant”, “Wastewater Treatment Plant”, “Department of Public Works”, and the “Police Department”. I've also produced “Flip City”, “Boy and Girls Club Annual Dinner”, “Scholarship Foundation Team Trivia Challenge”, as well as the Town Hall Forum with Jim Ogonowski and the Town Hall Senatorial Debate for the Dec 2007 Senate seat election.
During this time of new and improved technology and the involvement of more service providers, we can look forward to a challenging and interesting time for Access Television. I look forward to serving on the board to help continue BATV’s advancement into the future.
