Joan Parcewski - Nominee

I have been very active in the Billerica non profit community for over 15 years, including as a producer at BATV and on the Board of Directors for several terms. During my time on the Board, I have encouraged several residents to become members and bring new programming to the air.

I have been past president of the Billerica Chamber of Commerce and currently serve on the Billerica Community Alliance formed by the merger of the Chamber and the Billerica Plan late 2007/early 2008. I chaired the Holiday Festival Committee, co-chaired Billerica's 350th Anniversary Celebration, and currently serve as President of Billerica Yankee Doodle Homecoming.

Recently I was asked to be Director of Billerica.org, an online information community for non profits and others serving the community through a one Town/one calendar approach.

I have been proud to be part of the BATV community and to serve on its board. I ask for your vote so that I can continue what I have started - to bring awareness of what BATV has to offer and to encourage increased participation in this first amendment process. Thank you for this opportunity.
