Programming on BATV:

All programming cablecast on the Public, Educational and Government access channels is non-commercial, created and produced by individuals and presented for cablecast by Billerica residents and / or individuals with BATV membership status. While BATV provides training and resources for volunteers to create and present programming, program content is that of the program producer or presenter, not BATV.

Programs cablecast on the access channels reach local audiences estimated at almost 13,000 households, proudly making BATV know as “media by the people, for the people.” In addition to programming being cablecast on the access channels, programming can be viewed worldwide on BATV’s Video on Demand service.

How do I get a program cablecast on the access channels?

Billerica residents and / or those with BATV membership status may submit programming for cablecast on the access channels. All programs submitted for cablecast must be accompanied by a Request for Cablecast form accepting legal responsibility for program content. It is the responsibility of the individual submitting the program to alert BATV staff of any questionable content in the requested program, particularly if it may not be appropriate for younger viewers and / or contain adult content. Such programming will be cablecast according to U.S. Safe Harbor time guidelines. Additionally, BATV reserves the right to require an appropriate disclaimer on any program.

For more information about submitting a program for cablecast, please call BATV at 978-663-2284. We will be happy to assist you!
