Honoring Our Veterans – BATV’s Commitment to Service
BATV is proud to stand with those who have served. We are deeply committed to supporting our local veterans and their families through ongoing partnerships, meaningful programming, and community-centered events. We host monthly meetings for both the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 47 and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA), providing a welcoming and accessible space for dialogue, planning, and support. Our original program, Billerica Salutes, is dedicated to sharing the stories of local veterans, preserving their legacies, and recognizing their invaluable contributions. In addition, we collaborate closely with the Billerica Veterans Services Officer (VSO), Donald (Donnie) Jarvis, who tirelessly supports our veterans with compassion and dedication. Donnie’s work is integral to connecting veterans to the services and resources they need, and we are honored to partner with him in organizing local veteran events and initiatives. We've also worked closely with the Bedford VA and other veteran-focused organizations to promote events, raise awareness, and ensure veterans’ voices are heard. Each year, our commitment continues with our annual Comedy Night Fundraiser, benefiting DAV Chapter 47—bringing the community together for a night of laughter and gratitude with a powerful purpose. At BATV, we don’t just say “thank you for your service”—we show it through action, partnership, and heartfelt programming.
