A letter from BATV Board Member Nominee, Robert Maynard:
Dear BATV,
I’m writing to you today to express my interest in serving on the BATV Board of Directors. As a lifelong resident of Billerica, BATV has always played a critical role in my understanding of Billerica and the events going on.
Whether it’s a cooking show or a talk show BATV always provides the residents with the most up to date information as well as educates the public while keeping them entertained. It’s a great resource for communicating with the residents and keeping them informed. I believe this relationship should be expanded and BATV’s role in Billerica be more robust than it currently exists.
In the past I have served on the Billerica School Committee and the BMHS Building Committee, two roles where I came to meetings prepared and ready to participate. For the BATV board I will do the same, review any materials necessary and always be active in the conversations pushing the Board and community forward.
This position is something that excites me there is so much opportunity for BATV within the community. Especially considering the new location is so close to the High School and Town Hall, this is the time to reach out and build on relationships within the Town. I feel with a person like me on the Board we can all work together to bring BATV to the best it can be for the residents of Billerica.
Thank you!
Robert Maynard
