BATV Class and Workshop Schedule
BATV’s technical and production resources are many. These include: state of the art editing suites and a media bar- all featuring Adobe Creative Cloud software; a large production studio and control room with eco-friendly fluorescent and LED lighting and green screen wall; a small studio with an all-in-one DIY concept and the powerful Tricaster studio-in-a-box making it easy for one person to create a show on their own; two meeting rooms for organizational/production purposes and a plethora of field production options including HD Camcorders, Microphones for all occasions and lots of fun field production gadgets. Come in and see what BATV can offer you! All classes are free and first come first served, please call beforehand to reserve your spot as space is limited. Feel free to call 978.663.2284 or email instructors with any questions. Unattended classes are generally cancelled the day before. BATV Offers ongoing training. Orientation:
Start here! We'll give you the nickel tour and tell you everything you need to know before you start producing programming at BATV.
HDV Camcorders:
Learn how to shoot on pro camcorders. We will go over all the fundamentals of recording video and audio for video.
Video Editing with Premiere Pro:
Learn the basics of video editing. Process, import and cut your raw video. Add music, titles and transitions to complete a finished program.
Mini Studio:
In this course you will learn the basic operation of our small studio. This is a good space for those doing talk-shows or for productions that have limited crew members.
Studio Production:
During this course, members will be taught the elements of production in our large studio. This studio has a lot of space, but generally needs more crew to complete a production.
DSLR Cinematography:
Learn how to use a DSLR camera for shooting film-like video. You will be acquainted with the manual aspects of shooting video. You will learn the manipulation of light through aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. This is a class designed for more advanced users.
